Those periods of heavy, late summer rain had the owners of Schmidt's Christmas Tree Farm in London Britain worried that the trees' needles might be a little pale.
Wiggins enjoys the tree farm so much, he built a train station. Today and next Sunday, the tree farm is a stop on the West Chester Railroad route. Passengers get off at the tree farm, cut down and purchase a tree, and the railroad hauls it back to West Chester.

The price for white pine is down $10, to $40. Other tree prices haven't changed since the economy soured a few years ago, said McGrail, who took over the farm from her uncle, Pat McGrail, in 2001.
